4 Awesome hotels in Thailand Bangkok Pattaya Phuket Chiang Mai

In the past few months I have only stayed in hotels in Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. After staying in dozens of hotels I recently invested more time into looking at nearly every internet review I could find for any hotel in consideration. After putting the time in I really think I hit the jackpot with three hotels, one in each city, that offer phenomenal value. I use Agoda.com to book hotels in Thailand as the point system they offer essentially comes out to a 10-20% discount over time and you can’t beat that especially considering their prices are as low as anyone else’s to begin with, and they easily have the best selection in Thailand.

Sabai Empress, Pattaya

Sabai Empress Hotel PattayaThe problem with hotels in Pattaya is not price; it’s quality. There are so many crappy rooms all over town that you kind of get numb to it. Most people headed for Pattaya just expect to stay in a cheap dingy room since they’re really not coming to Pattaya for luxury anyway. There are a few upscale hotels, but they’re pricey, starting from 3,000+ Baht. The Sabai Empress is one of a kind at a price of around 1,100 Baht per night (off-peak). The rooms are about as good as it will get in Pattaya including the high end resort style hotels. The roof top pool is probably nicer than it needs to be and you have nice views of the ocean there. The location will be ideal for anyone who does not want to stay directly on Walking Street since it’s a Baht bus away from everything and it’s directly across the street from a large Big C mall complex. You can easily walk to the beach and the room service menu is better than most. More Details Here

Mini Cost Guesthouse, Chiang Mai

mini cost guest house Chiang MaiVoted number 1 guesthouse in Chiang Mai for 2012 and considered one of the best places to stay for the first few days of living in Chiang Mai. A local expat hangout and the cleanest rooms in Thailand the Mini Cost Guest house is a no brainer. It's right in the heart of the city but it's qaunit so you'll get a great night's sleep. Make sure you book in advance because this place is always full. But it's a charming place and for the rate there's nowhere else I'd consider in Chiang Mai.More Details Here

Serenity Resort, Phuket

IF you’re looking for a Beach Resort in Phuket and you don’t care much about the nearby activities, Serenity Resort is for you. When I was searching 2 months ago, I couldn’t even find another resort of similar quality at any less than double the price! It really made me think it was too good to be true. But it wasn’t; what a beautiful place. People I have spoken to about the hotel mainly say the same thing, “If I wanted to just stay in a resort and lay on the beach for a few days down there, I’d rather just go take a ferry to an island South of Phuket.” I see where they’re coming from but there is real appeal here. The long ferry rides to Phi Phi and Koh Lanta tack on hours and hours to both legs of the trip. And forget about being able to stay in a hotel of this quality on smaller islands. This hotel sports a stunning beach and it’s an easy trip from the airport. I love the islands too, but I don’t feel like dealing with them every time I want to hit the beach. Consider this hotel if you just want a beautifully relaxing weekend get away without spending much money. More Details Here

Sunreno, Bangkok

sun reno hotel bangkokThe Sunreno is a new hotel with serviced apartment style rooms. Each room is very spacious, modern and clean, and they all have a little kitchenette which is invaluable if you’ll be in town for a few days. Check to make sure the location is ok for you; it’s in the Business district which I consider a good, but not great location. The bottom line is: the rooms are the cheapest you’ll find in Bangkok especially factoring in the free parking space and the free Wifi. More Details Here

So I very sincerely recommend these three hotels to you should you find yourself looking for a place to stay in Phuket, Pattaya, or Bangkok. If you take my word for it and you book, please feel free to let us know how your experience was in the comment section below.
